Obiettivi formativi
- affrontare lo studio di argomenti avanzati di teoria delle strighe nell'ambito di una tesi magistrale;
The educational purpose of the course is to enable the student to:
- deal with the study of advaced topics of string theory with regard to a Master Thesis;- to understand the concepts originated with regards to string theory and used in other areas of theoretical physics, such as, for example, cosmology and phenomenology.

Risultati dell'apprendimento attesi
At the end of the course the student will know exhaustively the model of bosonic string and the main chacteristics of the superstring. He will get some notions on compactifications, on D-branes and on effective theories of supergravity as well.
