The exam consists of an oral test (typical duration of 40-50 minutes) in which it is asked to discuss ab initio two, at most three, of the topics introduced   during the lectures, discussing both the phenomenological and the mathematical modelling aspects of the problem.

The full mark is given when both formal and physical discussions over the topics prove to be complete. In case of fail, the repetition of the exam itself must take place at least after two weeks beyond the failed attempt.

The exam, starting from the September 2020 exam, will be in presence.

Remote examination through Webex system is also allowed.
Possible technical malfunctioning of the connection
(i.e. unstable or absent connection for Webex) will not preclude
the possibility to take the exam, which will be done through other
platforms or with a different timetable compared to what has been scheduled.
